  • Overview

    The Senior Accountant will assist the Controller in accurately maintaining the Company’s accounting records and documentation, including SOX 404 documentation, supporting the preparation of the Company’s Forms 10-Q and 10-K and supporting the Company’s external reviews and audits. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assists with the maintenance of the Company’s accounting data and support, including the preparation of monthly journal entries, requiring discussion with team members within or outside of the department, decision making and documentation.
    • Prepares account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
    • Assists in the preparation of audited financial statements and related footnotes, including supporting schedules.
    • Ensures compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, including the preparation and maintenance of documentation, assisting with testing procedures and support on remediation activities.
    • Prepares documentation related to Sarbanes-Oxley Sections 302 and 906.
    • Interacts with external auditors and consultants.
    • Ensures GAAP compliance with all journal entries, recordkeeping and documentation.
    • Supports strong internal and external customer relationships as well as working relationships with team members within or outside of the department to ensure the success of deliverables and major projects.
    • Supports department in the creation and maintenance of finance and accounting policies and procedures library specific to Company.
    • Ensures deliverables are performed efficiently and are of high quality; timely and accurately.

    • Discovers and recommends continuous improvement of financial reporting tools which scale with the Company’s growth.

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • BS in Accounting or Finance is required
    • CPA is preferred
    • 4+ years of experience, including public accounting, preferably Big Four
    • Experience with pharmaceutical drug development or pharmaceutical commercial operations preferred.
    • Experience in or exposure to a public company environment required

    Other Job Requirements:

    • Occasional travel for training and conferences
    • Travel during onboarding to transition role to Exton
